This dress must have been the beginning of trying to mix and create “my own pattern” styled clothes, with help from my favorite pattern designer, Ellie & Mac. I have used different kind of patterns from them and tried to create my own dress pattern parts.
This is not 100% my own design, but I hope that I will create my own one day.
I have used cotton jersey as lining for the dress and the butterfly fabric is a velvet tulle fabric. I could not use it because of some skin reaction that I got from the velvet (I have sensitive skin and might get irritation on my skin when I am using certain kinds of fabrics), but my mom gladly wanted it.
A cute dress, but I think it is a little bit dark. It would have been fun to try having different color on the lining to make the dress more colorful.
