Pepper sweater

I fell in love with this pattern from Made for Mermaids, when I saw it on Instagram.

Then I decided to sew it before Christmas, because I really need sweaters for the winter. Somehow the sweater became too big around the neck for me… Once again I got the size wrong but I am not sure if it is the sizes on the pattern or if it is the fabric.

The fabric is rib jersey. A very pretty fabric that I wish I would understand a little bit better… Well it is not that hard to understand how rib jersey works, but sometimes I forget that the fabric stretch much more, especially when I iron it.

I want to sew this again, but I have not decided if I should sew it in a size smaller. I tried a different pattern from them and the size for that top fitted better but still a little bit big on the upper part.
